Our Machines

CopeMatic 3K – Our Newest Coping Machine

Say hello to the CopeMatic 3K.

Our newest machine is a great choice for customers whose coping/notching needs range from 1/2-inch to 3-inches in diameter. The same things that have made the CopeMatic Pro and Mini Pro great for years are also found in the CopeMatic 3K…

  • Uses standard end mills
  • Portable like its predecessor, and easy to move
  • Workpiece remains stationary as the head moves to make the cope and included angle of cut -Our materials meet demanding quality standards, and are sourced from local vendors
  • Every machine is made and assembled in the U.S.

One tool. One function. Limitless applications.

About 12 years ago we released a brand new patented machine that was developed to radically improve the way tube coping/notching is performed. This first-to-market simple to use machine delivered precise copes/notches in surprisingly little time, and is built from quality materials here in the USA. Now we are about to release our third machine that takes the best parts of both the MiniPro and Pro and puts them together for a larger coping range with only one machine.

The CopeMatic 3K:

  • All diameter and angle settings are made with a simple adjustment on the head, allowing the workpiece to remain stationary.
  • The workpiece support system can also be stationary in the shop.
  • The CopeMatic 3K’s variable cut diameter feature uses only two cutters to achieve different diameter cuts. Simply rotate the adjustment wheel to the desired cut diameter setting from 1/2” to 1” diameter using the 1/2” cutter. Use the 1” cutter and the adjustment wheel setting for 1” to 3” diameter copes/notches.
  • The machine’s cutters are standard end mills which can be easily acquired or re-sharpened.

Operational Specs:

  • The included angle is infinitely variable from an angle of 90 to 20 degrees.
  • The cut diameter is infinitely variable from 1/2” to 3”.
  • When the machine is set in the range of 40 to 90 degrees included angle, it can cope amember up to 3″ in diameter or breadth at any cut diameter in the given range (1/2 inchto 3 inches).
  • When the machine is at a 20-degree included angle, it can cope/notch a member up to1-3/4” (1-1/4 pipe”) diameter.
  • The 1” cutter should be used for all applications except when coping 1/2-3/4” diameterwork pieces, use the adapter and 1/2” cutter when coping 1/2-3/4” diameter work pieces.

CopeMatic Pro (discontinued)

Our customers’ needs are unique and ever-changing, a fact we’ve recognized and supported for years. We’ve engineered and built the CopeMatic Pro to meet the demanding pipe coping and tube notching needs of your shop.

  • If you prefer to bolt the CopeMatic machine directly to your shop floor, we can save you money by not including the baseplate that ships with the machine by default.
  • Likewise, if you’d prefer to build a machine stand and baseplate assembly in-house, we can simply ship the head and clamp assemblies, reducing your cost of equipment and shipping.
  • We’ve also worked with our customers to design specialized clamp assemblies.
